Most of gas supplied via the North European gas pipeline will be produced at the Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field.
The deposit is situated in the Krasnoselkupsky District, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, Tyumen Region. The field has estimated reserves of over 1 tcb of gas including more than 700 bcm of proved reserves. OAO Severneftegazprom holding the license to explore and develop the Yuzhno-Russkoye deposit is a 100% subsidiary of OAO Gazprom. After the rated capacity is achieved, the deposit will produce about 25 bcm of gas annually.
Estimated total amount of investment into the project of developing the Yuzhno-Russkoye deposit is EUR 1 bln.
At a later stage, additional gas for the NEGP will be produced at fields in the Yamal Peninsula, Ob-Taz bay and Shtokmanovskoye.
